Crisis Call Numbers and Other Community Resources

My practice is not structured to provide crisis intervention services.  However, strong feelings, loneliness and isolation, and even suicidal feelings can surface after therapy hours and between sessions.   If you are in need of immediate life-saving psychiatric services, please call 9-1-1 or have someone take you to your nearest emergency room.

However, if you are having a hard time and could benefit from speaking with a trained counselor, or are in need of referrals to community resources, click the link below.  You will find resources for Warm Line counselors, crisis counseling, substance abuse referrals, domestic violence information and resources, and much more.  These are both national resources, as well as some for Florida residents.  Not listed is the 2-1-1 number of the United Way, which also has counselors to speak with 24/7, as well as community resource referrals.
